The mission of RCS Trucking & Freight is to deliver value-added, superior service to our customers in the safest manner possible. Being “Flat Out the Best” in everything we do is more than a slogan — it’s a way of life.
RCS Trucking & Freight, Inc. was founded in March 2002 by Robert C. Sturgeon. After working for a large beverage company as a delivery driver, Robert discovered his passion for driving trucks and founded RCS in Virginia with a clear mission: to be “Flat Out the Best” while treating drivers with fairness and respect.
Having firsthand experience with the challenges of life on the road while supporting a family, Robert understands what drivers need to succeed. His vision is to make RCS Trucking & Freight one of the largest specialized flatbed carriers based in Virginia — a goal we move closer to each year.
In 2018, RCS expanded its capabilities by adding Heavy Haul and Van divisions, and we continue to invest in growing and strengthening these business segments.
RCS Trucking & Freight, Inc. is a licensed and bonded specialized flatbed and heavy haul trucking company transporting freight across the United States. Our home office and primary terminal are located in Bealeton, Virginia.
Our Bealeton, VA terminal operates five types of fleet:
Metro Washington DC local fleet, primarily servicing the building supply industry.
East Coast regional fleet, servicing as far north as New Jersey and as far south as Florida.
OTR national fleet, servicing states as far west as the Dakotas and as far south as Texas.
Heavy haul division, available to haul over-dimensional freight throughout the United States.
Regional and OTR Van fleet servicing the eastern half of the U.S.
Our Bealeton, VA terminal operates five types of fleet:
REGIONAL FLATBED: As a Regional Driver you can expect to be home every week.
OTR FLATBED: As an OTR Driver you can expect to be home every 2 weeks.
